The Pear & Salvage Home is delighted to present the beautifully crafted work of fibre artist and teacher, Harriet Ridnour for our first Gallery Night of the year. Harriet will demonstrate her craft as well as showcase her meticulously crafted rugs, scarves, shawls, mittens and hats, which will also be available to purchase. Vintage textiles have been a passion for Harriet for many years. She has been involved in fibre art all her life, sewing and knitting when she was younger, and selling antique textiles and sewing tools later. Harriet finds knitting both relaxing and meditative. She also loves to teach. Fifteen years ago she began rug hooking and now helps beginners, sells supplies, organizes annual classes, as well as work on her own projects.
During winter The Pear has undergone somewhat of a transformation. To celebrate spring and beyond we have a vast array of fabulous new products, vintage wares and household goods to help brighten your home. Come and see for yourself.
The Pear & Salvage Home is now open on Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
After a long, cold winter, we are loving this early sunshiney spring. If you are anything like us, it’s time to brush off the cobwebs, and think about spring cleaning, refreshing and renovating: (not only ourselves), but our homes and our gardens too.
The Pear has a swag of new inventory including a brand new garden section. More new products will be popping up over the coming weeks. Stop on by, get inspired, and spring into Spring with us.
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store. Much more to come…
