GET HOOKED WITH HARRIET!

The Pear & Salvage Home is delighted to present the beautifully crafted work of fibre artist and teacher, Harriet Ridnour for our first Gallery Night of the year. Harriet will demonstrate her craft as well as showcase her meticulously crafted rugs, scarves, shawls, mittens and hats, which will also be available to purchase. Vintage textiles have been a passion for Harriet for many years. She has been involved in fibre art all her life, sewing and knitting when she was younger, and selling antique textiles and sewing tools later. Harriet finds knitting both relaxing and meditative. She also loves to teach. Fifteen years ago she began rug hooking and now helps beginners, sells supplies, organizes annual classes, as well as work on her own projects.

During winter The Pear has undergone somewhat of a transformation. To celebrate spring and beyond we have a vast array of fabulous new products, vintage wares and household goods to help brighten your home. Come and see for yourself.

On April 1st, 2017, from 5pm to 9pm.

We will be serving complimentary punch and delectable hors d’oeuvres catered by Mineral Point’s favorite pizzeria, Popolo. https://www.facebook.com/popolopizzeriaMP/ Everyone is welcome.

NB: Beginning April 8th, The Pear will be open 5 days a week, Tuesday to Saturday 10am – 5pm.

What’s New?

Ooh, look at these beauties that just came in to The Pear.

We love these French linen baguette and bread bags. Handmade in the US with love, they keep your bread fresher, longer. So much better than plastic or glass for storing baked goods. They make great gifts: one for me, one for you.

We have fabulous new stock coming in weekly.

Stay tuned…
